About the Role

Join a close-knit and highly collaborative team based in Moree. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced family lawyer to combine complex legal work with the chance to help shape and grow a regional practice.

In This Role, You Will:

• Provide high-quality family law advice, representation and advocacy in complex matters for socially and economically disadvantaged clients.
• Represent clients in courts, tribunals and alternative dispute resolution forums, working towards timely and effective outcomes.
• Identify and respond to systemic issues affecting vulnerable clients through policy, law reform and service improvement initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with community organisations, stakeholders and diverse client groups to improve access to justice.

Essential Requirements

• Hold Australian or NZ citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency
• Be willing to undertake relevant pre-employment checks such as Working with Children Check, Criminal Record Check, and Conduct Service Check
• Hold legal qualifications
• Be admitted or eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW
• Be a registered practitioner of the High Court of Australia as per provisions of section 55B of the judiciary Act 1903 (Cth)
• Provide a current and unrestricted NSW Practising Certificate before you start work with us
• Be willing to travel to regional and remote offices/areas as required
