Senior Software Test Engineer - Hardware Systems (m/f/d)

Build the reliability layer behind a quantum computer.

Our client builds quantum computers in Europe.
Real hardware. Real control systems. Real physics.

Around 90 people.
20+ nationalities.
English as main working language.

The systems are already running.
Now they need to become bulletproof.

That’s where you come in.

What this role is really about

Quantum hardware is complex.
The control software is even more complex.

If this layer fails, nothing works.

You make sure it doesn’t.

Your impact

You build automated test systems that actually matter.
Python. Pytest. CI/CD.
Not as documentation theater - as real protection.

You test software that talks to hardware.
SIL. HIL.
Real devices. Real signals. Real edge cases.

You design system-level validation.
Integration. Regression. Performance.
You think beyond single components.

You find problems before they become expensive.
You don’t just execute test cases.

Your background

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or similar

5+ years in software testing / verification

Strong Python experience

Experience with SIL and/or HIL testing

Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines

Fluent English

Strong plus

Experience in robotics, aerospace, automotive or other safety-critical systems

Hardware communication protocols (SCPI, Modbus, serial, TCP)

Experience testing control systems
