The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the highest quality of software and systems. This role involves leading test automation initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test plans for software applications.
  • Design and implement test frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across multiple platforms.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to resolve issues and improve quality.
  • Monitor and analyze test results, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational quality assurance standards and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior test engineers in testing methodologies and tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, including automation and manual testing.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and Agile practices.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools Playwright, Selenium, JUnit, LoadRunner.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages Python, Java.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and API testing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • ISTQB or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing.
  • Ability to work in multi-vendor and cross-functional environments.

  • Bug Tracking: JIRA, Azure DevOps
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions
