The Purpose of This Role

As the Senior Quality Engineer, you blend deep Fidelity Health and Quality Engineering knowledge who’s highly motivated Individual contributor with 6 to 9 years of experience in IT Industry and who is capable to develop test automation and is hand on with Software Development and Testing Life Cycle process

The successful candidate must possess excellent programming and testing skills as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate must have an instinct to take initiative, be a team player, and be versatile in their abilities.

The candidate will help in achieving the testing coverage and automation goal for organization and making sure that good quality products are delivered to customers by performing functional and automation testing. The candidate will work closely with QE team, Partners, Business analysts & Development teams to Develop, Automate and validate software with high quality.


Skills that are key to this Role and Expertise we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.

  • The candidate must have 6+ years’ experience in designing test plans, test cases and automation suits independently for assigned product/application.

  • Experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack as well as experience with Azure/AWS cloud technologies

  • Experience in Agile development methodology and Jira tool

  • Hands-on experience in Test suite Management tools such as Jira – Xray, HP ALM, QUEST etc.

  • Experience in various types of testing such as functional, Cross functional products, Regression, User experience, Non-Functional etc across multiple technology stacks of distributed applications

  • Strong experience in Test automation design, development and execution using tools and frameworks such as RestAssured, Karate, Playwright, Cypress, Cucumber, TestNG.

  • Strong proven experience in programming – Java/Springboot, JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Strong knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and DevOps tools such as GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, etc.

  • Strong working knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle or Postgres.

  • Experience with PL/SQL and complex queries, views, packages etc.

  • It’s preferred that the candidate has knowledge of US Health Benefits Administration.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
