As our Senior Program Manager, Software (m/f/d), you will play a key role in shaping and driving strategic software initiatives across our software organization, including programs related to PLUS+1, Danfoss' industry-leading software platform for machine control and application development.

Working closely with engineering, product, and business leaders, you will help deliver innovations that enable customers to build smarter, more efficient mobile machinery solutions. Success in this role means delivering complex, cross-functional programs that create measurable business impact, driving organizational change, and building alignment across a highly technical environment.What

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead strategic software programs across multiple teams and business areas, ensuring delivery against agreed goals, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to translate business priorities into actionable program roadmaps and execution plans.
  • Build alignment across engineering, product, and business teams, providing clear communication, transparency, and effective stakeholder management.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and organizational challenges early, driving mitigation plans and helping teams navigate change successfully.
  • Develop and mentor a community of software project managers and/or product owners while improving program management practices and ways of working.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field combined with a technical understanding that enables effective collaboration with engineering teams, even if your background is not in engineering.
  • Proven experience leading large, complex, cross-functional programs or projects, ideally within a software or technology-driven environment.
  • Solid understanding of software development practices and delivery methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions across different functions and levels of an organization.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading organizational change, transformation initiatives, or business-critical programs in complex environments.
  • Previous experience building or leading teams of project managers and/or product owners.
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, or similar project management certification.
