Join our innovative C7 Security Clearing Service (C7 SCS) team and help shape the future of secure and efficient financial markets. Our solution simplifies complex trading strategies while ensuring transaction anonymity, reducing counterparty risk, and optimizing settlement processes across various financial instruments such as equities and ETFs.

As a Senior Software Functional Tester, you will work in a highly dynamic and complex environment with strong demands on reliability and availability. You will go beyond traditional testing — acting as a quality advocate, problem solver, and trusted partner to both business and development teams, ensuring our services meet the highest standards.

Your responsibilities:

• Take ownership of quality by reviewing functional specifications and aligning closely with business analysts and developers
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases covering complex functional scenarios
• Drive a Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) approach by contributing to user stories and acceptance criteria
• Contribute to the evolution of test automation from a functional perspective
• Perform various testing activities, including integration, system, and regression testing
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with development teams
• Validate data integrity and backend processes using SQL queries
• Explore opportunities to enhance testing processes through AI-driven approaches, such as test case generation and analysis

Your profile:

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand complex systems, identify issues, and propose effective solutions
• Proven experience in functional testing within complex, high-availability environments
• Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Hands-on experience with BDD and writing test scenarios using Gherkin
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and backend testing
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with fluent English

Nice to have:

• Interest in or initial experience with applying Artificial Intelligence in software testing
• Willingness to learn about financial markets (cash and repo trading); prior knowledge is a plus
• Familiarity with Linux command line
• University degree in IT, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or Economics
