Senior Software Engineering Manager

Careers that Change Lives

At Medtronic, we push the limits of what technology can do to make tomorrow better than yesterday and that makes it an exciting and rewarding place to work.

Medtronic Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Device Embedded System (DES) organization develops the next generation medical technologies that alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life for millions of patients across the world.

Join the PCS Software Released Product Engineering (RPE) leadership team, where our charter is to ensure continuity across the CRM instrument and software ecosystem—including legacy Device Managers, patient monitors, mobile applications, and instrument accessories.

We are seeking a highly motivated and accountable software leader who is passionate about sustaining critical products that support clinicians and improve patients’ quality of life.

In this role, you will lead the patient bedside monitor software organization. As a Senior Manager, you will own multi-year roadmaps of software engineering activities and releases to sustain product functionality, quality, and regulatory compliance across two to three patient bedside monitor platforms. With over 2.5 million monitors actively used worldwide, this role requires both strategic leadership and the ability to operate effectively in a highly dynamic, reactive environment—demonstrating technical depth, agility, and resilience.
You will be responsible for overall product quality, team staffing, and budget management. You will engage across all phases of the software development lifecycle in a fast-paced, collaborative, and impactful environment.

This position is in Mounds View, MN. within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) unit. At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. In-person exchanges are invaluable to our work. We are working on-site 4 days per week as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

We believe that when people from different cultures, genders, and points of view come together, innovation is the result —and everyone wins. Medtronic walks the walk, creating an inclusive culture where you can thrive.
