【Divisions and Products】
Valeo Japan consists of four main divisions:

　１）Power Division: Designs, develops, and manufactures products and solutions related to thermal management, comfort, and electric powertrains to accelerate electrification.

　２）Brain Division: Designs, develops, and manufactures products and solutions aimed at accelerating ADAS and reinventing the interior experience.

　３）Light Division: Designs, develops, and manufactures products and solutions to bring "Lighting Everywhere."

　４）Valeo Service Division: Handles aftermarket services for all products covered by divisions 1 ～ 3.

Note: This position belongs to the Brain Division.

【このポジションはどんな仕事？】
本ポジションは、自動運転・ADAS製品に搭載される組込みソフトウェアの開発・技術支援を担うSenior Software Engineerです。

また、グローバルメンバーと連携しながら、新しい開発手法やデジタルツールの活用にも取り組んでいただきます。

【What You'll Do】
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and providing technical support for embedded software used in autonomous driving and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

In this role, you will also collaborate with global teams to adopt innovative development methodologies and leverage digital technologies to enhance engineering efficiency and product quality.

【Key Responsibilities】
◎Embedded Software Development

• Develop embedded software for ADAS products.
• Design, implement, and validate software components.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues throughout the development lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvements in software quality and reliability.

◎Problem Solving & Quality Improvement

• Investigate and address software quality issues through root cause analysis.
• Apply standardized problem-solving methodologies, such as QRQC, to implement effective corrective actions.
• Prepare technical documentation, including reports and software specifications.

◎Technology Innovation

• Research, evaluate, and introduce emerging technologies.
• Explore the application of AI and digital technologies to software development.
• Contribute to patent generation and intellectual property development.

【チーム構成】

• 潮来では1名体制となりますが、品川や海外メンバーと連携しながら業務を進めます。
• 部下はいません。

【Team Structure】

• While you will be working independently as a 1-person team in Itako, you will collaborate closely with team members in Shinagawa and overseas.
• No direct reports.

【働き方】
基本は潮来勤務となりますが、ソフトウェアチームが品川にあるため、週1回程度、品川へ出社する場合があります。

【Work Style】
Principally based at the Itako office; however, as the software team is located in Shinagawa, you may work at the Shinagawa office about once a week.

【必須】

• 組み込みシステム開発の経験（ハンズオンでできる方）：7年以上
  ※キャッチアップの早い方であれば、3～5年の経験でも可
• 英語：ビジネスレベル（カイロとのコミュニケーション）
  ※日本語については不問です

【歓迎】

• ユニットの開発経験（ADAS,TCU等）
• 日本語が話せる方

【MUST】

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in embedded systems/software development.
  ※Candidates with 3～5 years of experience will also be considered if they demonstrate a strong ability to learn quickly and ramp up effectively.
• Business-level English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams in Cairo.
  ※Japanese language proficiency is not required.

【WANT】

• Experience developing automotive ECUs (e.g., ADAS, TCU, or similar systems).
• Japanese language proficiency is a plus.
