As a Senior Software Engineer – Test Automation, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and evolving the systems that validate our future vehicles. You’ll set the benchmark for automation quality, improving code integrity and influencing engineering standards across global teams. WHAT TO EXPECT

Working within our test platform team, you’ll help modernise and elevate our automation ecosystem. With real ownership and visibility across the business, you’ll tackle meaningful challenges that support cutting edge vehicle programmes while developing your own technical craft.

Here’s what to expect:

• Designing and developing scalable, maintainable automation frameworks to support system validation and verification
• Implementing and improving CI/CD guardrails, ensuring robust, high quality automation code across repositories
• Analysing test failures, identifying root causes and continuously improving automation stability and performance
• Collaborating with cross functional engineering teams to influence standards, processes and best practices
• Championing code quality, reviewing automation scripts and helping to reduce technical debt across programmes

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to help you succeed here, including:

• Experience developing automation scripts using Python, C or C++ within a testing environment
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins or Docker and working with automated pipelines
• Proven ability to design and maintain automation frameworks and improve code quality standards
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• A degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience, with a growth mindset and passion for continuous improvement

Desirable experience includes exposure to XIL testing, Vector or dSPACE tools, or behaviour driven development frameworks.
