Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inquisitive Senior Software Engineer (Technical Application Analyst / Technical Business Analyst) who can analyse, specify, plan, realize, maintain and/or optimize assets (e.g. tools, software, hardware), processes (e.g. maintenance and quality processes) methods or jobs (e.g. maintenance-, enhancements and projects) within the targets as set for safety, quality, timing, costs and delivery as to fulfil identified business needs.

Key Responsibilities –

  • Continuously monitor all developments that might affect processes or assets and analyse possible effects.
  • Translate business needs into a (functional / technical) specification, take into account all boundary conditions and expectations/demands of all relevant stakeholders.
  • Gathering and analyzing business requirements to create user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Determine the planning needed to realize the deliverables.
  • Manage all activities needed to realize the deliverables and take or initiate appropriate corrective measures.
  • Define and/or execute tests, make sure all relevant documentation, procedures, directives and/or instructions are available and / or all users are trained.
  • Support the users and monitor the condition and/or performance of the assets/processes/methods one is responsible for and correct or improve after approval of all relevant stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate the activities of the assigned team-members, coach and instruct them if needed. Monitor progress of the work and take appropriate actions within own level of authority or escalate to a higher level of authority if required
  • Working with Product Owners to prioritize user stories for sprints.
  • Works within a short time horizon, often <1 month. Implements parts of solutions to strategic business needs or solutions to operational business needs of the assigned area or functional expertise, often concerning one process or asset. Must retrieve information from different stakeholders in order to come to a functional specification of these deliverables.
  • Solves operational problems by understanding and applying a wide range of procedures and answering questions about what needs to be done in specific situations using own professional judgement by combining experiences from the past into a new solution

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.

Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:

  • 7-10+ years of software development and application support experience.
  • Expertise working on various RDBMS like Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL etc.
  • Expertise working on Visual Studio to develop various apps.
  • Knowledge of and experience with reporting tools, such as SSRS and PowerBi.
  • Configuring best practices for document management systems such as DocuWare, DocuSign, and EXACT / BPA for Invoicing.
  • Signals problems or shortcomings, proposes and implements solutions and improvements after approval
  • Works within a limited variety of well-defined procedures and practices, is supervised on progress and results and needs support for non-standard situations
