We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us at Telia.

I’m Hans Rasmussen, Head of Customer Interaction in Norway IT, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on modernising Telia’s Enterprise self-service portal, delivering fast, reliable digital experiences for business customers

What you’ll do:

You’ll take technical ownership of our Enterprise self-service portals, driving architecture decisions, code quality, and the team’s transition toward modern, AI-assisted development practices.

  • Lead technical direction and architecture for our Enterprise Portals, ensuring scalable, maintainable solutions across frontend and BFF layers
  • Drive the modernisation of the portal from legacy systems toward a spec-driven, component-based development model
  • Mentor and support fellow engineers, setting standards for code quality, testing, and AI-assisted development workflows
  • Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and backend teams to deliver seamless self-service experiences

What will help you thrive in this role:

You’re a natural tech lead – someone who takes ownership not just of your own code, but of the team’s collective output and direction.

  • Proven experience in leading frontend or full-stack development teams, preferably in large-scale consumer-facing applications
  • Strong knowledge of modern web technologies (React, TypeScript, Java/Node.js BFF patterns, REST/GraphQL APIs)
  • Ability to drive architectural decisions and translate product vision into technical strategy
  • Fluency in English; Norwegian is a plus
  • Comfortable working with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude, and taking ownership of the quality and correctness of AI-generated code
