The License Manager team builds and evolves the core licensing and entitlement capabilities that support Splunk products. Our work enables customers to understand, manage, and remain compliant with their licensed usage through reliable, secure, and high-performance software. We are a collaborative engineering team focused on backend and distributed systems development, working closely with product management, support, and partner engineering teams. Design, build, test, and maintain core License Manager capabilities using C++ to support secure, scalable, and reliable product functionality. Lead complex features from technical design through production delivery, balancing correctness, performance, security, and long-term maintainability. Diagnose and resolve complex production issues to improve system resilience, observability, and operational readiness. Partner with product management, support, and engineering stakeholders to translate customer and business needs into robust technical solutions. Mentor engineers, contribute to technical design discussions, and help raise the engineering bar through high-quality code, documentation, and engineering best practices.
