Senior Software Engineer (Salesforce)

The Illumina Digital Services (IDS) team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Salesforce Engineer to support our Commercial Sales and Revenue Operations organization for project implementations and ongoing support of Illumina’s global Salesforce Sales Cloud and Conga system. This role will provide challenging and continuous innovation opportunities with deep technical knowledge of the system. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Salesforce engineer who wants to apply their skill set, learn, and grow in a very customer-centric but global organization.

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with Illumina and external consulting resources on design, estimation, and delivery of new features.

· Design, develop, unit test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the Force.com platform, including writing triggers, developing lightning web components, visualforce pages in addition to managing the development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of highly secure solutions that are optimized for performance and built to scale.

· Collaborate with all Illumina and partner engineers/developers in creating and maintaining scalable and performant customer solutions.

· Own, manage, and maintain Salesforce and technology best practices.

· Make tactical and strategic decisions based on data, process, and system dependencies.

· Run experiments through POCs independently and present the outcome concisely.

· Should be a knowledge seeker and continue to provide guidance on emerging technologies, especially in the salesforce domain.

· Will continuously work on improving developer productivity and implement ideas to benefit the customers.

· Lead Rapid Prototyping and POCs to evaluate the feasibility of emerging Salesforce features (e.g., Data Cloud, Einstein AI) against business needs.

Requirements:

· Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience building complex solutions on the Salesforce platform.

· Must have a solid understanding of Sales cloud. Marketing and Service cloud knowledge is an advantage.

· Must have experience with apex, platform events, triggers, LWC, VF security model and declarative tools (Salesforce Flows) within Salesforce.

· Must have experience working with RESTful interfaces, patterns, and frameworks.

· Must be able to review code and recommend best practices for both apex and client-side scripting.

· Must have Experience with SFDX, Git-based version control, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Auto Rabit, Copado etc).

· Should have experience with improving Salesforce application performance.

· Should have experience with any language such as java or python.

· Should have experience with front end languages and backend tools for web engineering such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.

· Should have Certified Salesforce Platform Developer II.

· Position requires being on call for critical support issues.

Education: BE/BTech./BCA/BS or higher degrees or equivalent practical experience
