What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance network infrastructure components that support a zero trust access platform.
- Write systems-level code in C/C++, Rust, and/or Go to address complex networking and performance challenges.
- Contribute to the architecture and evolution of core networking protocols, tunneling mechanisms, and traffic routing logic.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure infrastructure components are reliable, observable, and scalable.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical planning to maintain engineering quality standards.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and security vulnerabilities in network-critical systems.
- Help shape the technical direction of infrastructure systems as the platform continues to grow.
Ideal Candidate Background
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on network infrastructure or systems programming.
- Strong proficiency in C, C++, Rust, or Go, with experience in systems-level or performance-sensitive codebases.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and tunneling protocols such as WireGuard and IPSec.
- Experience building and operating infrastructure demanding high availability, low latency, and security correctness.
- Comfortable working in a remote-first, collaborative engineering culture with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
Preferred
- Experience with low-level systems work and a strong interest in cybersecurity and zero-trust access control.
- Proven ability to own systems or components end-to-end, from design through build and iteration.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary for this role ranges from $170,000 to $220,000, commensurate with experience. This is a fully remote position within the United States, offering flexibility and a collaborative work environment.
