Get to Know the Team

Join the Consumer Experience Pax App Core team, dedicated to enhancing the mobile developer experience for engineers contributing to the Grab Super App. You will be a platform engineers who is part of a group focused on building next-generation mobile application frameworks and components that simplify the creation of top-tier mobile software. Our team of mobile engineers works collaboratively across Grab to maintain our design system and internal productivity tools, ensuring a seamless experience for developers.

Get to Know the Role

You'll report directly to the Engineering Manager and take charge of managing software systems for your team, focusing on building the platform/systems for product engineers. Your role will ensure these systems are secure, reliable, maintainable, and thoroughly tested. You'll assess architectural patterns, infrastructure options, and handle post-deployment monitoring.

You will work onsite at the Grab Bengaluru office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will design and implement core iOS infrastructure components and frameworks that underpin Grab's Super App architecture
• You will guide technical discussions and make architectural decisions to improve platforms across teams
• You will collaborate with design and product teams to maintain our design system and create SDK interfaces that address common challenges and improve developer experience
• You will develop generative AI applications and maintain build systems and CI/CD pipelines that enhance developer efficiency
• You will create reusable iOS components, focusing on scalability, performance, and developer experience
• You will lead code reviews and technical discussions, ensuring standardisation across mobile codebases
• You will develop comprehensive technical documentation, best practices, and guide for new platform features

Qualifications

Essential Skills You Will Need

• At least 5 years of professional experience in iOS development
• Experience delivering end-to-end features in large-scale iOS applications
• Experience in modular architecture and managing iOS projects
• Expertise in iOS architecture patterns like RIBs/MVVM/VIPER and SOLID principles, ensuring scalable and maintainable system designs
• An understanding of iOS build systems and CI/CD pipelines, essential for optimising development workflows
• Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI and modern iOS development practices - ensuring efficient system creation
• Familiarity with system design - creating code that is scalable, maintainable, and testable, thereby ensuring reliability and extensibility of features

Good to Have

• A background in managing UI component libraries that ensure user interface consistency
• Familiarity with building generative AI applications
• Prior experience maintaining developer productivity tools
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Needle to help create modular and flexible code structures
