Senior Software Engineer in Test
Location: Galway
We have an opening for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join the Fidelity Institutional Technology group. You will be part of a group that works on the latest technologies for the Marketing and Business Enablement divisions of the Fidelity Institutional organisation, supporting the business partners with additional features and modern solutions.
· 6-9 years’ experience in software quality engineering
· Experience creating test automation solutions in tools and frameworks such as Cucumber, Fitnesse, Karate or Selenium
· Experience with continuous integration practices and automated deployment tools
· Proficient in Java or equivalent software languages
· Good level of SQL and database knowledge
· Experience with Agile methodologies
· Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
· Familiar with AWS or equivalent could-based services
· As part of an agile scrum team, you will contribute to the QA automation strategy and implementation for our applications, to enable rapid delivery of key customer features
· Work collaboratively with engineering and business colleagues to help define acceptance criteria and derive release testing requirements
· Design, implement and execute functional and regression test cases/suites
· Reproduce, debug, and isolate problems and verify fixes
· Analyse and report test results, project tracking and product release readiness
· You understand all aspects of testing (unit testing, integration testing, acceptance testing, etc.)
· You promote Agile development practices
· You have great attention to detail and a passion for quality
· You can resolve issues proactively and/or identify approaches to solutions
· You can actively participate in all facets of the delivery process
· You are collaborative in your approach, actively contributing to how work gets completed
· You can work independently with minimal oversight
· Focus on customer: Demonstrate understanding of customer's business domain
· Continuously improve technical competency: Demonstrate knowledge and application of current technologies
