deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

deciBel Research seeks a senior software engineer to support the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program as either an individual contributor or small team lead on the Architecture and Delivery (A&D) Automated Test and Verification (ATV) Team and is responsible for developing automation related SW development products in support of the GWS contract execution on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Essential Functions:

• Build or lead the development of SW products related to test automation at the system level.
• Plan, develop, or lead the development of software in an Agile environment.
• Candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field from an accredited university with five years' experience, or a Master's degree and three years' experience.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience with software design, requirements, and testing
• Proficient with Python
• Experience understanding and verifying requirements

Special Skills Desired:

• Experience using Eggplant
• Experience with build and development tools and/or continuous integration environments (i.e., GIT, Jenkins)
• Experience with containerization methodology and tools (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Current Security+ certification
