Part of Google’s Global Networking and Infrastructure (GGN&I) organization, the Global Network Technologies (GNT) team builds systems, technologies, and tools supporting the global network that connects data centers, cloud regions, and users worldwide.
Within GNT, the WANForms team acts as a virtual vendor to GGN. It delivers WAN building blocks featuring normalized read, write, and operate APIs abstracted across hardware and silicon from top networking vendors. WANForms ensures these blocks integrate seamlessly with Google’s control, management, and monitoring ecosystems. By offering pre-qualified devices with base networking functions ready for hardware refreshes or new projects, WANForms speeds up new product introductions.
