
What we are doing
Our mission is to prevent vision loss and ultimately blindness by developing AI software that assists eye doctors in therapy planning for their patients. We use computer vision deep learning models(AI) trained on thousands of cases and millions of images to identify and predict disease progression. The decision support algorithm targets popular eye diseases like Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD, 7.5mio affected in Germany alone).

100+ million people globally suffer from vision-threatening retinal diseases. A $13bn drug can stop patients from vision loss. Still, ⅔ of cases of blindness in EU+US are due to these diseases like wet AMD. We provide an AI-based precision health platform that emulates a proven clinical method. This method used 2nd expert opinion for eye doctors to achieve 6x(!) better therapy results across thousands of patients:
- Improving real-world vision outcomes by 3x (36% > 100%)
- Keeping 2x more patients in therapy (38% > 78%)
Our big vision is to prevent 1 million additional people from blindness by 2030 by empowering ophthalmologists with AI-based optimal therapy prognosis. Our pre-clinical AI is used by pharma, payors and providers’ associations to gain new insights on their therapy data. We work on our clinical product to provide therapy decision support with 1 click at the PoC in 2024.
