The Grab Agent Experience team, part of Grab Support Tech Family, builds support systems for consumers, drivers, and merchants. We improve support through automation and AI, helping users and Agents find relevant information, resolve issues through self-service, and receive faster, more accurate assistance.

Our multidisciplinary team spans Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Analytics, and Business.

Get to Know the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack, you will design, build, and operate Grab Support Tech Family's full-stack systems. These systems include Ruby on Rails, React, frontend applications, Golang services, APIs, microservices, and Help Centre support workflows.

You will independently lead technical designs, solve ambiguous problems, align stakeholders, and deliver end-to-end solutions while managing monitoring, incident response, operational excellence, and system improvements.

You will report to the Senior Software Engineering Manager and work onsite at the Grab Vietnam office, CMC Creative Space.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Build and maintain full-stack features using Ruby on Rails, Golang, and Grab's internal tools.
• Lead technical delivery for support journeys, workflows, APIs, and internal platforms.
• Build scalable, reliable, and observable microservices for critical operations.
• Develop clean, accessible frontend experiences for users, agents, and support teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, QA/SET, and Engineering teams to deliver quality solutions.
• Oversee production readiness, monitoring dashboards, runbooks, and release quality.
• Participate in on-call, incident handling, OPI/OSI follow-ups, RCA, and prevention work.
• Use Datadog, Kibana, logs, metrics, and trace to troubleshoot and improve reliability.
• Improve testing across unit, integration, UAT, and E2E layers, including GSTF metrics.
• Review designs and code, mentor engineers, and raise engineering standards.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience
• Hands-on experience building production frontend applications and Golang backend services, APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with distributed systems, service and API design, data modelling, and reliability trade-offs.
• Lead technical design deliver projects from requirements through production rollout.
• Fluent in English communication
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development and modern AI engineering practices, including coding agents and LLM APIs.
• Experience writing maintainable, testable code with strong unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices.
• Debugging skills across frontend, backend, logs, metrics, and production systems.
• Mentor engineers, provide clear code review feedback, and improve team engineering practices.

The Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Temporal or other workflow orchestration systems.
• Experience building AI-powered user experiences, support automation, agent-assist tools, chatbot flows, or intelligent self-service products.
• Experience with ticketing systems, Help Centre, CRM, or customer support platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, GitLab
• Experience with a relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
