RecoTek is Reconomy’s new centralized technology hub located in Bucharest, Romania, officially launched in February 2024. Serving as the backbone of Reconomy’s tech operations, it consolidates inhouse expertise across all Reconomy brands to accelerate platform development and enhance service delivery.

• Recycle loop is utilising the latest technology and data to enable customers to make the best possible use of their materials.
• Comply loop is enabling customers to solve increasingly complex environmental regulatory challenges using data, expert knowledge and thought leadership to drive business accountability across the globe.
• Re-use loop is providing intelligent technology platforms and agile delivery models for pre-retail logistics and product returns, fulfilment and processing, on behalf of many of Europe’s largest retailers.

About the role

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards.
• Implement features and functionalities.
• Ensure code is properly structured and adheres to project requirements.
• Actively learn and adapt to new technologies, frameworks, and tools relevant to the project.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and apply them in day-to-day tasks.
• Seek feedback and continuously improve.
• Identify and resolve bugs in existing codebases.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues reported by QA or end-users.
• Document fixes and ensure changes do not introduce new issues.
• Configure CI/CD.
• Support infrastructure.
• Handle monitoring tasks.
• Work closely with team members to understand requirements and deliver tasks on time.
• Participate in code reviews to learn and improve coding practices.
• Communicate effectively with all parties involved.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation for code changes, processes, and configurations.
• Update technical documentation as features evolve.
• Ensure documentation is accessible and useful for future reference.
• Perform unit testing to validate code functionality.
• Assist in integration testing and collaborate with QA teams to ensure quality.
• Report and document test results, highlighting any issues found.
• Actively participate in Agile events such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
• Share progress updates and raise blockers during stand-ups.
• Contribute to discussions on improving team processes and workflows.
• Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as required by business needs, ensuring alignment with the scope and purpose of the role.
