We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - DevSecOps

You’ll make a difference by:

    With Railigent X, Siemens Mobility provides an open IoT platform enabling predictive maintenance, asset analytics
    and data-driven services for railway operators worldwide.
  • To ensure the stability and reliability of our production platform, we are expanding our Production Operations capabilities.
  • We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer – Production Operations (Kubernetes Platform) to support the reliable operation of our
    cloud-based platform and help improve service reliability through automation and operational excellence.
  • What will you contribute to?
  • Handling 2nd level incidents and operational tickets for production systems
  • Supporting incident response, service recovery and root cause analysis
  • Monitoring platform health and improving alerting and observability
  • Maintaining and improving runbooks and operational documentation
  • Proactively identifying operational improvements, reliability risks and automation opportunities
  • Taking ownership of operational topics and driving improvements beyond day‑to‑day ticket handling
  • Supporting the implementation of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
  • Identifying recurring issues and implementing automation to improve system stability
  • Supporting system updates, patching and vulnerability remediation
  • Collaborating with development and platform teams to improve service reliability
  • What do you bring?
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a comparable qualification
  • Experience working in DevOps, operations or SRE environments
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or strong Kubernetes operations experience
  • Experience operating Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments
  • Experience with cluster management tools such as Rancher, Helm or similar
  • Experience with Linux-based systems and infrastructure administration
  • Experience operating cloud environments (AWS preferred)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Experience working with incident management and ticketing systems
  • Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana or Dynatrace
  • Strong ownership mindset and proactive working style
  • Ability to identify problems independently and drive solutions
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Nice to have
  • Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or FluxCD
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / OpenTofu)
  • Experience with automation using Python or scripting languages
  • Experience with SSO solutions such as Keycloak(Preferred) or Okta
  • Experience with high availability and disaster recovery concepts (RTO / RPO)
  • Experience with AWS services such as VPC, ELB, CloudWatch, S3, DynamoDB or RDS
  • Additional Information
  • This role supports a global production platform and includes participation in a 24/7 on‑call rotation model. Engineers participate in the on‑call rotation approximately one week every three months.

Your success is grounded in:

  • 6-8 years of experience is required.
