Job Description

Tesco Poland Kraków Full-Time Working hours 40 Apply by 31-Oct-2026

About the role
The Audience Platform team is part of Customers API, the platform that holds core data about Tesco customers and powers personalized customer communication and experiences across Tesco. The platform processes around 500 million customer attribute updates every week and continues to grow as Tesco increases the scale, relevance, and personalization of customer engagement. Built as a cloud-native microservice architecture on Azure, the platform uses Azure Service Bus for event-driven processing, PostgreSQL for data storage, and is currently evolving from Azure App Services towards Kubernetes to support the next stage of scalability and resilience.

A Software Development Engineer III in this team will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable services that process large volumes of customer data while keeping the platform reliable, performant, and maintainable. The role will focus on solving real-world scalability and performance challenges in a modern service with low technical debt, while contributing to the team’s migration to Kubernetes and continued evolution of its architecture. Looking ahead, the team will also explore how to leverage the data in the platform using LLMs, embeddings, new database technologies, and UI capabilities to reduce the time needed to create new customer audiences. This is an opportunity for a senior engineer to work on a business-critical platform that directly enables personalized experiences for Tesco customers at massive scale.
