What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that support a production SaaS platform utilized by logistics companies.
• Collaborate closely with machine learning and data science teams to seamlessly integrate AI/ML models into core product features.
• Architect and enhance backend services, APIs, and data pipelines to ensure high reliability and performance at scale.
• Contribute to technical decision-making, including system design, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Work cross-functionally with product managers and frontend engineers to deliver comprehensive end-to-end features.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and technical debt within existing systems.
• Help shape and evolve the engineering culture and standards as the team expands.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 4–10 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong emphasis on backend development.
• Proven experience in building and scaling backend systems in a SaaS or cloud-based environment.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Strong fundamentals in data modeling, database design, and query optimization.
• Ability to take ownership of problems from architecture through deployment and monitoring.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

• Experience in the logistics, supply chain, or transportation technology sectors.
• Familiarity with AI/ML model deployment and integration in production settings.
• Background in early-to-mid stage technology companies where engineers have diverse responsibilities.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role ranges from $160K to $180K, complemented by competitive equity options. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to thrive in a supportive and innovative environment.
