Senior Software Engineer (back-end)

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable back-end systems and APIs that support core product functionality.
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to integrate and deploy ML models effectively in production environments.
• Architect and optimize data storage solutions using PostgreSQL and MongoDB, ensuring performance and reliability at scale.
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing Docker for consistent deployment pipelines.
• Write clean, well-tested Python code while actively participating in code reviews to uphold high standards.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and system reliability concerns.
• Contribute to technical roadmap discussions and help define engineering best practices.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on back-end systems.
• Proficiency in Python for building robust back-end services and data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with both PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment on AWS, with experience in Docker.
• Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals, including system design and API design.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred

• Experience building or integrating with AI-driven systems or strong interest in related technologies.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and experience working in codebases that include React on the front end.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role ranges from $170,000 to $230,000, commensurate with experience. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work within a mission-driven team.
