Job Description
Senior Software Engineer (Analytics)
Every call, queue, and agent interaction across Dstny's platform throws off data — and turning that data into insight, at scale, in real time, is what Dstny Analytics does. We're growing the team behind it and looking for a senior backend engineer who wants to help take the platform from where it is today to where it needs to be next: cloud-native, high-performance, and built to handle ever-larger volumes of communication data. This is a role for someone who wants to own real architecture decisions, not just tickets.
We are in search of...
- A backend engineer who thinks in systems, not just code — someone comfortable owning a feature from ingestion through to the dashboard a customer stares at every day.
- Strong hands-on skills in C#/.NET or Java, with the OOP fundamentals and testing discipline to keep a growing codebase clean as it scales.
- Real experience with SQL and relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) — you know how to design a query and how to fix one that's gone slow under load.
- A track record building or maintaining analytics applications, with the instincts to spot a performance problem before it becomes an incident.
- Comfort designing and consuming REST APIs, with enough distributed-systems experience to know where the sharp edges are.
- Familiarity with identity and access management (Keycloak, OAuth2, OIDC) and a security-by-design mindset.
- Someone who already works with AI-assisted development tools day to day — Copilot, Claude Code, or similar — as part of how they build, not as an experiment.
What we expect from you...
Ownership & accountability
- Own features end to end, from the ingestion engine through aggregation pipelines to the reporting layer. You're accountable for how well they perform under real customer load, not just whether they ship.
- Uphold the quality bar across code review, automated testing, CI/CD, and observability. When something breaks in production, you're one of the people who understands why and fixes it properly.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers as part of your day-to-day, not as a side project — their growth and the quality of their code are things you actively shape.
- Take responsibility for migration procedures across different deployment scenarios, making sure customers move forward without disruption.
Actions
- Design and build across the stack — ingestion engine, reporting engine, aggregation pipelines, APIs, and the MCP server — rather than staying in one layer.
- Optimize data access and aggregation over large volumes of communication data, so queries stay fast as customers' data grows.
- Design and maintain the APIs and integrations — Report API, Connectors, SMG Gateway, MCP server — that other internal apps depend on.
- Contribute directly to the platform's modernization: Kubernetes-native deployment and a next-generation analytics data store.
Scope
- Work across the full analytics stack, from raw telephony and communication data at the ingestion layer to the dashboards and reports customers see — your scope isn't limited to one service, it spans the pipeline.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Support, and Operations, so what you build actually solves the problems those teams are hearing about.
- Influence architecture decisions that shape where the platform goes next, not just how a single feature gets implemented.
- Operate within a Kubernetes-native, modernizing platform, where the boundaries of "your" system are expanding as the migration progresses.
What we offer you...
- A business with real momentum — 1,000+ people across 8 countries, growing with purpose.
- Work with a talented and passionate teams of like minded professionals.
- Gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies in cloud communications.
- Be part of an internationally diverse company with a strong culture.
- 25 vacation days plus your birthday
- Health insurance and life insurance
- Meal allowance of €10.46/day
- Home office allowance
- Hybrid working: 2 days per week in the office
