Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Craftsperson that shares the same values of pragmatism, professionalism, transparency, and continuous improvement as us to join our Brazil team!

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who combines strong technical depth with autonomy, adaptability, and a passion for building high-quality software. You will work closely with clients and engineering teams to solve complex software challenges, modernise systems, improve engineering practices, and help organisations adopt AI-enabled software development in a responsible and effective way.

The role combines hands-on software development, technical consultancy, architectural influence, and coaching, while supporting teams in delivering scalable and maintainable software products with global ambitions.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and/or TypeScript in backend and distributed systems environments.
• Solid understanding of software quality and modern architectural patterns (modular monoliths, microservices, event-driven architectures).
• Hands-on experience with TDD, DDD, BDD, refactoring, clean code, and Extreme Programming (XP) practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and modern CI/CD practices.
• Experience working across different languages, platforms, and domains with a pragmatic approach to technology decisions.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar.
• Ability to integrate AI tools into software engineering workflows while maintaining engineering quality and best practices.
• Strong communication skills in Portuguese and English, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
