About the Role

Our client is hiring a Senior / Staff Member of Technical Staff to build and scale its AI-powered customer research platform.

This is a high-ownership engineering role that combines full-stack product development, AI-powered features, platform engineering, and user experience.

You'll work across the product, from building conversational AI experiences and research insights to developing participant recruitment systems, improving platform design, and scaling backend infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is a product-minded software engineer who enjoys building customer-facing applications, solving complex technical problems, and owning features from concept through production.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship AI-native product features across the customer research platform.
• Develop conversational AI capabilities that allow customers to interact with research findings and insights.
• Build analysis and insights tools that help businesses understand customer feedback and make decisions.
• Develop participant recruitment, incentive management, and self-service research workflows.
• Build systems for managing research panels, participant lists, and recruitment at scale.
• Improve the overall product experience, including frontend architecture, UI components, and design systems.
• Partner closely with product and design teams to develop intuitive, customer-facing experiences.
• Design and build scalable APIs, backend services, and distributed systems.
• Own features end-to-end, from technical design and implementation through deployment and iteration.
• Help expand the product roadmap and improve the platform as customer adoption grows.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrated senior-level technical ability.
• Strong full-stack software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience building and shipping production software used by real customers.
• Strong product instincts and ability to translate ambiguous requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Experience developing backend APIs, services, and scalable application architecture.
• Comfortable collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Ability to take ownership of complex technical problems from design through deployment.
• Experience working with modern frontend frameworks and backend technologies.
• Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Ability to move quickly, solve problems independently, and thrive in a high-performance engineering environment.

Bonus Experience

• Experience building AI-native products or LLM-powered applications.
• Experience with conversational AI, agentic workflows, or AI-driven analytics.
• Experience building data analysis, insights, or business intelligence products.
• Experience developing self-service platforms, marketplaces, or participant recruitment systems.
• Experience with distributed systems and high-scale backend infrastructure.
• Experience building frontend design systems or complex interactive interfaces.
• Previous experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup.
