The King County Department of Information Technology (KCIT) is seeking Senior Software Engineers to join our Software Engineering team. In this role, you’ll design and deliver modern, cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Sitecore and other technologies. You’ll also support and enhance legacy applications and serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex technical issues.
We’re looking for engineers who are passionate about building scalable, secure, and user-centered applications. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to public service.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
Hybrid Work: The work associated with this position will be performed through a combination of onsite work and telecommuting. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support when working remotely.

Work Schedule: The normal work week for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternative work schedules may be considered. This position is FLSA Exempt and is not eligible for overtime pay.
