Under the direction of the VP of Product Development, this role will be the senior technical lead for backend development within the Technology Solutions team. The Senior Software Engineer designs, builds, and maintains the scalable .NET applications, APIs, integrations, and databases that power Evans Transportation's transportation and logistics operations.
This individual acts as the technical bridge between product, operations, integration partners, and the business, translating business requirements into well-architected, production-ready solutions that improve efficiency, automation, and customer experience. Beyond individual delivery, the Senior Software Engineer sets the technical standard for the team through architecture guidance, code reviews, and mentorship.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience / Training: 5+ years of backend development experience, including building REST APIs and working with SQL databases.
Licenses / Certifications: None required.
Technology / Equipment: C# and .NET; SQL databases; Git and software development best practices.

Experience / Training: Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or 3PL environments. Familiarity with system integrations.
