Ready to take your career global? Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Senior software Engineer to join our ever evolving Core Payments (GSAP Database) team and help shape the future of global commerce.

What you’ll own

• Technical Guidance & Best Practices: Provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring all database code is optimized for maximum performance, scalability, and strict adherence to development standards.
• Architecture & Modernization: Drive the design and architectural considerations for critical Tier 0 database changes, leveraging emerging database technologies to modernize UI and transaction processing flows.
• Roadmap Execution: Track, own, and implement complex technical roadmap tasks to deliver system resiliency and scalability, accommodating a projected influx of 2.4 billion annual transactions.
• Production Resolution & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate complex production issues to deliver both immediate hotfixes and strategic, long-term architectural solutions.

What you’ll bring

• Senior Database Engineering Expertise: Extensive experience designing, coding, debugging, and validating database logic within a highly flexible software development life cycle (SDLC).
• High-Volume Transaction Management: Proven track record of managing and scaling databases for high-volume, Tier 0 core transaction processing platforms or massive data migrations.
• Performance Tuning & Optimization: Deep technical knowledge in optimizing database processing, flowcharting, and data growth management to prevent delivery delays and system degradation.

It’s a bonus if you have

• Experience with large-scale merchant platform migrations, payment network routing interfaces (such as Interac), or UI modernization projects sized over 10,000 hours.
• A background working in horizontal database teams that span multiple modules from transaction processing to reporting.
