Job Description

Overview

Come build community, explore your passions, and drive innovation with Azure Edge. Our team enables Microsoft products and services to operate across connected, disconnected, regulated, and sovereign environments, where compliance, regional availability, and release readiness directly affect customer adoption and market access. You will help shape the engineering capabilities that enable customers across government, defense, critical infrastructure, energy, healthcare, and sovereign cloud markets to deploy and operate Microsoft technology with confidence.

In this role, you will own a broad portfolio spanning product compliance, Azure region expansion, and product release management. You will independently translate complex regulatory and market requirements into actionable engineering requirements, product roadmaps, release criteria, and cross-team execution plans across Azure Edge products and dependent Azure services. This opportunity will allow you to deepen your expertise in product compliance, global cloud expansion, release governance, and AI-enabled engineering systems while influencing product decisions across a diverse technical portfolio.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more, and we’re dedicated to this mission across every aspect of our company. Our culture is centered on embracing a growth mindset and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their best each day. Join us and help shape the future of the world.

Responsibilities

  • You will translate regulatory, cybersecurity, and market-access obligations into clear engineering requirements, implementation plans, and product roadmaps across Azure Edge products and services.
  • Drive compliance readiness for current and emerging requirements, partnering with engineering, product, security, legal, and broader Azure compliance teams to identify gaps, establish ownership, and drive remediation.
  • Drive Azure region expansion readiness by coordinating product dependencies, engineering requirements, and partner-team commitments needed to enable predictable deployment into new regions.
  • Own product release management mechanisms, including release readiness, cross-team dependencies, risk identification, decision criteria, and stakeholder visibility.
  • Contribute domain expertise, requirements, and validation scenarios to AI-enabled compliance capabilities that improve how regulatory obligations are mapped to engineering actions and supporting evidence.
  • Establish scalable operating mechanisms, metrics, roadmaps, and documentation that improve execution across compliance, regional expansion, and release management as the Azure Edge portfolio grows.
