Experian is looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer with strong experience in building and maintaining enterprise applications using Java, JBoss/Weblogic, AWS. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing scalable, high-performance applications while supporting legacy systems and driving modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies
  • Deploy and manage applications on WeblogicJBoss (WildFly / EAP) application serversWork in Linux/Unix environments for application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Perform shell scripting and automation tasks in Linux (Bash/Shell scripting)
  • Troubleshooting issues with data transformations/data pipelines
  • Analyze and troubleshoot production issues across distributed, Linux, and mainframe systems
  • Collaborate on cloud migration and development initiatives using AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Ensure application security, scalability, and performance optimizationWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong experience in Java/J2EE
  • Proficiency in Weblogic/WebSphere/ JBoss / WildFly application server configuration and deployment
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and commands
  • Experience with shell scripting (Bash/Shell) for automation and operational tasks
  • Exepreince working on building/maintaining legacy ETL pipelines build on Java and legacy technologies
  • Knowledge with AWS cloud services and cloud-native development
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and system integration
  • Knowledge with DB2 database development and performance tuning
  • Experience working with mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, or IMS)
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
