Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Business Analysis and QA team members in understanding the functional and technical design for processes identified for application and platform development
  • Design and develop/code software components including web applications, on the following platforms: Java, J2EE, Spring MVC
  • Design, develop, validate and maintain application software working with established processes
  • Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize the applications
  • Adapt to new programming languages, methodologies, platforms and frameworks to support the business needs
  • Provide L1 support to the issues escalated by the client
  • Should be able to provide quick issue resolutions or workarounds, as required
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Java Developer with 4+ years of experience in Java, J2EE technology stack
  • Experience developing Liferay applications in Java MVC architecture using Spring framework
  • Experience working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks including Angular and React
  • Experience working with continuous integration using Maven, Jenkins and other DevOps CI environments
  • Experience of Source Control using Tortoise SVN or GitHub
  • Key Skill:
    • Experience with the Spring MVC framework
    • Experience working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
    • Proficiency in Java and the J2EE technology stack
  • Exposure to developing RESTful and SOAP web-services
  • Expertise in designing and developing RESTful and SOAP-based web services
  • Working knowledge of Oracle database and writing SQL scripts
  • Solid understanding of Spring MVC framework
  • Good understanding of core Unix commands for managing file systems and processes
  • Proven good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AI/automation tools for work optimization
  • Hands-on experience in developing Liferay applications using Java MVC architecture with Spring
  • Exposure to front-end technologies such as Angular or React
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Unix commands, Maven, and Jenkins & Azure cloud
  • Familiarity with Cloud environments and cloud container technologies
