Job Description

Business Title: Technical Lead – CDP Platforms

Years of Experience: 5 to 9

We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Technical Lead to architect and lead the delivery of solutions using Salesforce Data Cloud. This role is ideal for professionals who have hands-on experience with Data Cloud, and a strong foundation in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP).

You will be responsible for designing scalable data architectures, managing ingestion and activation workflows, and integrating Data Cloud with other MarTech platforms to enable unified customer profiles and personalized experiences. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including marketing, analytics, and engineering.

Must-Have Skills:

Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, including data ingestion, unification, and activation

Strong understanding of identity resolution, consent management, and customer profile stitching

Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, especially MCP, Journey Builder, and Interaction Studio

Proficiency in API integrations (REST, SOAP) and data connectors

Strong skills in SQL, Python, or JavaScript for data manipulation and automation

Experience integrating Data Cloud with MarTech platforms (e.g., ESPs, CRMs, analytics tools)

Familiarity with data governance, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and performance optimization

Good-to-Have Skills:

Experience with Salesforce CRM, Service Cloud, or Commerce Cloud

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization

Client-facing experience and ability to lead technical discussions with stakeholders

Familiarity with audience segmentation, journey orchestration, and personalization strategies

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the technical design and implementation of Salesforce Data Cloud solutions

Architect data models and ingestion pipelines for unified customer profiles

Integrate Data Cloud with MCP and other MarTech platforms for activation and personalization

Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions

Guide development teams in building reusable components and automation scripts

Ensure data quality, performance optimization, and privacy compliance

Troubleshoot complex data and integration issues across platforms

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices

Support audience creation, segmentation, and journey orchestration workflows

Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to roadmap planning for Data Cloud adoption

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelors in Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science, Data, IT

  • Graduates from other fields with good communication and analytical skills

Certification (If Any):

  • Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant

  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant

  • Marketing Cloud Personalization Accredited Professional

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator

  • Salesforce Certified Agent Force Specialist
