We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us at Telia.

I’m Justas Sobutas, Engineering Manager, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team that owns the API layer connecting Telia's mobile and fixed product backends — exposing them as reliable, well-designed APIs for both internal teams and external partners.

What you’ll do:

You'll design, build, and maintain the APIs that sit between our product backends and the internal and external developers who depend on them.

• Develop and operate scalable APIs that integrate mobile and fixed product backends and make them consumable for partners and internal teams
• Design clear, well-documented, versioned API contracts with a strong focus on developer experience, stability, and backward compatibility
• Consult with internal teams and external partners on integration, best practices, and how to get the most out of our APIs
• Contribute to security, governance, and observability across the API layer — authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and monitoring

What will help you thrive in this role:

You're a pragmatic, detail-oriented developer who understands that an API is a product, and that the people consuming it are your customers.

• Proven experience designing and operating production APIs consumed by multiple parties (REST; experience with API gateways, Cloud Native Architecture, or event-driven/streaming patterns a plus)
• Strong knowledge of backend integration and modern web security — Spring Boot, authentication and authorization (e.g. OAuth2 / OIDC), API versioning, and lifecycle management
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams and with external partners, and deliver measurable improvements in reliability and integration quality
• Fluency in English; Lithuanian is a plus

Monthly salary range for this position 3600 – 5400 Eur (gross) + annual performance/sales bonuses Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
