Senior Software Engineer

Location: Redwood City, CA (On-site, 5 days/week)
Company Stage of Funding: Seed-stage (backed by leading early-stage investors)
Office Type: On-site
Salary: $200,000 – $219,000 + Competitive Equity

Our client is building an AI-native operating system for procurement within the consumer packaged goods industry, transforming outdated workflows currently managed through email, spreadsheets, and PDFs into structured, intelligent systems.

Their platform is already delivering measurable ROI for customers, helping procurement teams unlock significant savings through automation, visibility, and AI-powered workflow orchestration.

What You Will Do

Own features end-to-end from concept through production deployment
Build full-stack product capabilities across frontend and backend systems
Design scalable system architecture to support rapid company growth
Partner directly with product leadership to define technical direction
Ship customer-facing product improvements rapidly and iteratively
Work directly with customers to understand workflow pain points
Drive systems design decisions for platform scalability and reliability
Build AI-powered procurement workflows and data intelligence systems
Raise engineering standards across testing, observability, and code quality
Contribute to foundational technical decisions for the next stage of growth

Ideal Candidate Background

5+ years of software engineering experience
Strong full-stack engineering background
Experience at VC-backed startups or high-growth product companies
Hands-on product ownership experience
Strong systems design and architecture thinking
Experience building customer-facing software products
Technical degree strongly preferred
Comfortable operating in highly ambiguous startup environments
Experience with modern frontend/backend frameworks
Ability to ship autonomously with minimal oversight

Preferred / Strong Signals

Early engineer or founding engineer experience
Experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or workflow-heavy domains
Strong TypeScript / Node.js / React experience
Experience building internal systems or operational tooling
Direct customer collaboration experience
High agency and ownership mindset
Comfortable making architectural tradeoffs independently
Daily user of AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, etc.)

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary: $200,000 – $219,000
