Title of Role: Senior Software Engineer

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Company Stage of Funding: Series B ($56M+ raised, backed by Kleiner Perkins, Gradient Ventures, Accomplice)

Office Type: Hybrid (moving toward 3 days/week in-office)

Salary: $190,000 – $240,000 + Competitive Equity

Visa: No visa sponsorship available

Initially built as a market-leading compliance automation platform, the company is now making a major strategic pivot into cybersecurity infrastructure for U.S. federal defense contractors.

They are cash-flow positive, backed by top-tier investors including Kleiner Perkins and Google’s AI Fund, and have seen explosive growth with federal defense now driving the majority of new revenue.

The engineering team is entering a major build phase focused on experimental cybersecurity products and foundational platform infrastructure.

What You Will Do

  • Build full-stack product features end-to-end
  • Design and ship experimental cybersecurity products
  • Work across frontend and backend systems
  • Build foundational platform infrastructure
  • Collaborate across product, design, and engineering
  • Own projects from architecture through deployment
  • Write high-quality scalable production code
  • Participate in system design and technical planning
  • Mentor engineers and influence engineering culture
  • Improve performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Contribute to product direction and roadmap decisions
  • Help establish the growing NYC engineering presence

Ideal Candidate Background

  • 4–10 years of software engineering experience
  • Strong full-stack engineering background
  • Excellent TypeScript experience
  • Experience with modern backend OOP languages
  • Product-focused engineering mindset
  • Startup or high-growth company experience

  • Comfortable moving quickly with ambiguity
