Flexible Working Options

Hybrid WorkingLevel 4 will lead technical development and delivery at Team level. Will operate as Individual Contributors, who are specialists in particular technology areas and will be narrower and have deeper focus. Capable of accurate effort estimate for any change. At this level, typically, will be doing code reviews and mentoring junior team members and able to work unsupervised and lead on smaller engineering focused initiative.

  • - Experience Required: 8 to 12 years.

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code with minimal supervision, participate in code reviews and team discussions to improve quality and share insights.

  • Participate in team meetings and input into project discussions.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to understand requirements, resolve defects, and support the smooth operation of deployed software.
  • Assist in the maintenance and support of existing software applications. Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise. Help ensure the smooth operation of deployed software.
  • Promote application custodianship by participating in incident root-cause analysis and driving improvements in security, maintenance, and resilience.
  • Invest to develop your technical and agile skills. Continuously improve technical skills through on-the-job learning and training opportunities. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, identify opportunities for innovation and growth. Seek feedback and actively work on improving coding and problem-solving skills.
  • Live Service support, monitoring & identifying bugs and fixes.

  • Share knowledge with early-career engineers to support team development and capability building.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders about requirements, provide updates, encourage feedback on new technologies and methodologies.

  • Apply test automation and programming tools to support performance checks and debugging, with growing independence.
  • Apply both traditional and agile best practices methods to plan, prioritise, and deliver work effectively. Escalate impediments and act on feedback.
  • Stay current with technology trends, applying logic, prioritisation, and critical thinking to identify opportunities.
  • Develop reliable and efficient software using approved technologies and standard practices, while following group policies and release guidelines.
  • Lead small technical initiatives and solve more complex problems using efficient algorithms and logical analysis.
  • Engineer software solutions that are stable, scalable, performant, accessible, testable and secure. Utilising endorsed technologies and applying common build patterns to minimise technical debt. Adhering to group policies and frameworks for build and release.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of system design and the team’s application domain and technologies.
  • Continuously look for reuse, identifying opportunities to automate repetitive manual tasks.
  • Support building a strong team by mentoring early career engineers to advance their technical skills.
  • Participate in Technical Communities to advance shared capabilities.
  • Applies basic AI concepts using established tools and procedures to address familiar scenarios.
  • Apply a Customer First mindset and role model Group Values by building strong relationships and sharing information openly.
  • Accountable for custodianship governance activities on tech assets.
  • Provide hardware, software, and network support as needed.
