We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (P3)to join our IndustrialRoboticsteam and play a key role in development and integrationof firmwarefor Robotic system solutionson Digital Microcontrollers
In this role, you will work handson with sensors,analog front end, motioncontroller and time synchronization connectivity, device driver development,RTOS, ROSandsystemplatform debugging, collaborating closely with Firmware, Applications, and Systems teams You will help deliver robust, productionreadyrobotics systemssolutions
Key Responsibilities
Develop and integratefirmwareforRobotics sensing, actuation, motion controller
Perform sensorintegration, including sensor bring-upand validation
Integrate AFEon Embedded platforms
Work on Embedded Linux platforms such as NVIDIA (Jetson), RaspberryPiand NXP (i.MX)
Perform handson debuggingonsystemplatforms, diagnosing and resolving issues across software and hardware
Understand and use boardlevelschematics to debug hardware–software integration issues
Work with SPI,I²C, CANfor sensor configuration, control, and register access
Collaborate closely with Firmware, Applications, and Systemsteams to deliver complete customer solutions
Support customer enablement through reference software, integration guidance, and technical troubleshooting
Required Technical Capabilities (Must Have)
Strong experience with C/C++in embedded systems
Experience with GitHub and AI agents - for development and debug
Strong technical oral and written communication skills
Hands‑onexperience withROSand any RTOS like Zephyr, Embedded Linuxetc
Linux kernel configuration
Linux device driver development
Userspace application development
Proven experience in sensor andsystem integration
Experience developing onSTM,NVIDIA, RaspberryPiand/or NXP platforms
Solid understanding of SPI and I²C protocols and their use in sensor integration
Strong debugging skills, including:
Rootcause analysis across drivers, SDKs, and hardware
Debugging directly on customer platforms
Ability to read and understand boardlevelschematics and hardware documentation
Experience working in cross-functional teams
Education and Experience
Bachelors orMastersdegree in engineering(Electr onicsEngineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related discipline)with5+ years of experience.
Significant industry experience in embedded software development, withdemonstratedimpact on complex products.
Hands‑on, practical experience isrequired; this role is not suitable for purely academic backgrounds.
SeniorLevel Expectations
At ADI, asenior levelengineer is expected to:
Act as a goto technicalexpertin their domain.
Work independently on complex, highimpact technical challenges
Influence technical direction across projects or teams without formal authority.
