What You Will Do

• Design, build, and take ownership of backend systems that enable AI-driven conversational workflows across various communication channels.
• Architect and maintain robust microservices and event-driven distributed systems that perform reliably at scale.
• Address low-latency and real-time processing challenges, particularly in voice and conversational AI contexts.
• Drive product improvements autonomously by identifying issues, proposing solutions, and implementing changes with minimal oversight.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, ML, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-impact features from concept to deployment.
• Contribute to design discussions and help define the technical direction of the engineering organization.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 2–4 years of experience as a backend engineer with a strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
• Proven track record of making autonomous product impacts by driving meaningful improvements.
• Experience in fast-paced startup environments or high-performance engineering cultures where speed and ownership are essential.
• Hands-on experience with low-latency or real-time processing problems, particularly in voice or conversational AI.
• Deep familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven distributed systems.

Preferred

• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud-native architectural patterns.
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows and data pipelines.
• Exposure to frontend technologies, particularly with React.js and Node.js.
