CAI Software is organized into three business units - Graphic Communications, Process Manufacturing, and Discrete Manufacturing – aligned to the markets we serve. This structure allows our teams to stay close to customer needs while operating with the scale and support of a global software company.
This role is part of our Graphic Communications business unit, which serves the global print and packaging industry with ERP and production software designed for commercial printers, packaging manufacturers, promotional and transactional print providers, sign and display manufacturers, and in-plant print operations. Our solutions help customers manage complex production environments, improve operational visibility, and deliver high-quality products efficiently and profitably.

About the Role
This role is part of CAI Software's Graphics Communications BU and will contribute to PrintStream Fulfillment. The position is based in Bangalore with a hybrid work model (3 days per week in-office, remainder remote).
The Senior Software Engineer will serve as a core technical contributor for Print industry solutions and ERP-integrated platforms, ensuring that business-critical workflows are designed, built, and maintained with high reliability and performance end to end. This role combines strong Print domain understanding with hands-on software development across complex, integration-heavy enterprise systems.
You will work closely with product owners, QA engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to design and deliver solutions supporting print-specific processes, ERP transactions, fulfillment workflows, and cross-system integrations. In addition to development responsibilities, you will help shape engineering best practices, contribute to technical decisions, and ensure the platform continues to scale and evolve in line with business needs.
What You’ll Do
· Act as a senior hands-on engineer within the engineering team, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of ERP and Print MIS platforms
· Develop, enhance, and support applications built using VB.Net, VB6, JavaScript, and HTML
· Work on legacy VB6 systems, ensuring stability, performance, and incremental modernization
· Build and maintain web-based components supporting Print MIS, ERP, and fulfillment workflows
· Contribute to the implementation of order management, fulfillment, production tracking, and billing solutions
· Collaborate closely with product managers, QA, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
· Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with engineering standards
· Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of coding practices
· Identify and troubleshoot defects across application, integration, and data layers
· Accurately estimate effort and deliver work commitments on time
· Support production systems and participate in issue resolution for fulfillment and operational workflows
· Contribute to project planning and execution across multiple concurrent initiatives
· Share knowledge and provide guidance to junior engineers
What We’re Looking For
· 6+ Yrs of relevant experience (guideline).
· .Net C# & VB.Net / Javascript/HTML with ERP/Print MIS development knowledge. Fulfillment experience would be great
· Hands-on experience with VB.Net and VB6, including maintaining and enhancing legacy applications
· Proficient in JavaScript and HTML for front-end or web-based development
· Familiar with fulfillment, order processing, shipping, and logistics processes
· Comfortable working in complex, business-critical systems
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· Effective communicator who collaborates well with cross-functional teams
· Self-motivated, dependable, and ownership-oriented
We would welcome (but not required):
· Experience supporting or modernizing legacy Print MIS or ERP systems
· Exposure to fulfillment integrations with carriers, warehouses, or third-party logistics providers
· Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
· Experience working in a global engineering organization
· Basic exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated builds
