Pixelgen Technologies is pioneering the next generation of protein interactomics with our innovative Proxiome products. We are building a new software team to develop an end-to-end cloud analysis platform that will empower researchers to unlock deeper biological insights from our data. This platform will serve as the engine that turns our raw spatial data into actionable science—enabling researchers to map complex cellular networks, understand how diseases progress at a molecular level, and accelerate the development of new therapies.

We are seeking an autonomous and experienced Senior Software Engineer to be a core contributor to this platform initiative and deliver significant impact on our product vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and operate robust, secure, and scalable features for our end-to-end cloud analysis platform.

• Contribute significantly to architectural decisions and system design for the platform, ensuring long-term scalability and performance.

• Establish and champion best practices for code quality, testing, and system maintenance across the team.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, computational biologists, and leadership to translate scientific requirements into scalable software solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated experience contributing significantly to system architecture and driving technical initiatives

• Expertise in building and operating cloud-based full-stack applications, featuring high proficiency in Python backends and modern frontend development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and relevant frameworks).

• Strong command of modern engineering and deployment practices, including working in Linux/containerized environments, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to independently drive project execution from concept to completion.

The ideal candidate will also tick one or more of the following boxes

• Proven track record building user-friendly UIs

• Experience working with data-intensive systems

• In-depth knowledge of bioinformatics analysis workflows, especially in the single-cell and/or proteomics fields

• Practical experience in building AI/ML systems aimed at extracting actionable insights from complex datasets.
