WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer withexpertisein C#, a deep understanding of its ecosystems, and a strong background in object-oriented programming. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the .NET framework, skilled in designing and implementing architectural patterns. Additionally,proficiencyin automated testing platforms, unit tests, andGit forcode versioning, along with experience in Azure environments, is highly desirable.

TheSimCorpDimension product was originally designed for running on-premises with clients,utilizinghardwareresources beingavailable 24/7. As we are moving our business model towards being a SaaS provider and based on Microsoft Azure, we need to re-implement our core platform to be efficientondynamic Azure infrastructure and with a relentless focus on the cost ofcomputeYou’llbe part of anengineering team in the Transactions & Private Debt product area, contributing to everything from architecture andcomponentdesign to performance and accessibility and responsible for delivering functionality that enables clients to make investment decisions with our back-office applications.   

The ideal candidate should have an eagerness to learnAPL(A Programming Language). Prior experience with APLisn’trequired,we provide comprehensive training and a supportive environment to help you succeed. Our company also partly ownsDyalogAPL, ensuring the languageremainsactively maintained and relevant.For now, the most of our work is done in APL.

The Transactions & Private Debt product area consists of four teams, each with four to seven software engineers across several geographical locations.

The team consist of team membersinDenmarkand Ukraine, and asa C#& APLSoftware Engineer you will therefore work closely together with other team memberslocatedboth in Europe and India.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Lead end-to-end design and development of backend systems usingC#/.NETand APL

  • Architect scalable, secure, and high-performancecloud-nativesolutions (Azure).

  • Mentor and guide a team of engineers through code reviews, technical planning, and agile practices.

  • Collaborate with product managersand front-endengineersto deliver full-stack features.

  • Ensure code quality and system reliability through unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Drive technical discussions and decision-making aligned with long-term business goals.

  • Be proactive in improving automation, tools, frameworks, etc.

  • Identifybottlenecks andbugs, anddevise solutions to these problems.

  • Utilize code versioning tools such as Git for version control.

  • Work within a continuous integration environment to ensure smooth and reliable deployment of applications.

  • Require excellent business and communication skills, and to be able to understand client specificrequirements

YOUR QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, ora relatedfield.

  • 5+ years of experience in software development.

  • Expert knowledge of C#, .NET Core/Framework, and object-oriented design principles.

  • Experience with APIs, including streaming, REST, and Azure Service Bus

  • Familiarity with variousdesignand architectural patterns.

  • Proficient with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Key Vault, etc.).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and agile development methodologies.

  • Experience with test automation tools such asReqnrollSpecflow

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

  • Experience working in an Azure environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.

NICE-TO-HAVE

  • Experience or familiarity with a vector-based or functional language will beconsidered asa plus, in terms of learning APL.

  • Experience in fintech or other regulated industries.

  • Experiencein a technical leadership role

For the position in Warsaw, the salary range is 179 510 - 269 200 PLN gross annual Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave and insurance programs. Your total compensation may vary based on role, location, department, and individual performance
