Why this role matters

In this high-impact role, you’ll be at the center of shaping our mobile test strategy and elevating our QA game. You won't just build test frameworks—you’ll lead quality initiatives across teams and help deliver secure, engaging experiences for our users everywhere. Your leadership and expertise will accelerate product innovation, support our “Everywhere Workplace” vision, and help scale quality testing globally.

What you’ll do:

• Lead mobile test strategy and planning for complex feature areas (iOS/Android).
• Architect and maintain test automation frameworks with Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, and Java.
• Design and execute comprehensive test suites (functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, system-level).
• Integrate automation seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines and device testing clouds.
• Drive testing for MDM workflows, device compliance, certificates, and provisioning.
• Develop and run unit, API, smoke, and end-to-end tests across mobile stacks.
• Maintain and enhance test case repositories for maximum coverage.
• Standardize test data management, mocking, and mobile test environments.
• Review peers’ automation code, enforcing best practices.
• Mentor and coach SDETs, growing our engineering community.
• Coordinate defect triage with development, product, and release leads.
• Champion quality metrics, reducing test flakiness and redundancy.
• Partner with DevOps on cloud and device testing environments.
• Stay ahead of new testing frameworks, OS updates, and security requirements.

What you will bring:

Essential:

• 6+ years' experience in software testing or SDET roles.
• Deep experience with Java-based mobile automation (Appium, XCUITest, Espresso).
• Hands-on testing of MDM-enabled mobile apps (e.g., Ivanti, Intune, Workspace ONE).
• Strong iOS automation skills (Xcode, XCTest, XCUI).
• Proven ability to build or extend test frameworks and reusable components.
• Experience with TestRail, Jira, Git, and CI tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise).
• Solid understanding of unit testing, mocking, app architectures, REST APIs, networking, and security testing.
• Experience planning/executing tests for large releases and diverse device matrices.

Nice-to-haves:

• Test automation for MDM/enterprise-distributed apps.
• Experience with certificate-based auth, VPNs, identity providers, or MTD.
• Familiarity with Swift/Objective-C, mobile accessibility standards/tools, performance and crash analysis tools.
• Champion for shift-left testing (TDD/BDD) and contributions to open-source automation libraries.
