Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer

Key Skills: TypeScript, Golang, AWS, REST APIs, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Hexagonal Architecture, CI/CD, NoSQL, RDBMS, Infrastructure as Code

Experience: 8+ years of experience.

Location: Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia, Bolivia.

Mode: Remote.

We at Coforge are hiring Senior Software Development Engineer (#21223) with the following skill set.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available AI-powered backend platforms deployed on AWS.

· Architect and implement high-quality backend services, collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.

· Ensure code quality through best engineering practices, automated testing, code reviews, technical documentation, and production support.

· Mentor engineers, drive technical discussions, and contribute to the continuous evolution of backend architecture and engineering excellence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 8+ years of experience in backend software development with a strong focus on REST API development.

· Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Golang (Go preferred).

· Solid experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, including Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, or similar tools.

· Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Hexagonal Architecture, Design Patterns, and software craftsmanship principles.

· Experience with modern NoSQL and relational database platforms.

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and secure coding practices.

· Ability to design and architect scalable backend systems independently.

· Experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and leading technical design discussions.

· Experience working in Agile software development environments.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Preferred Skills:

· Experience developing AI or Machine Learning applications.

· Experience with Temporal.

· Experience with DevOps practices and cloud automation.

· Knowledge of distributed systems and scalable backend architectures.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
