Senior Software Engineer JAVA - TP3

General Profile

The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications using core Java and related technologies. The role requires strong hands-on expertise, solid understanding of software engineering practices, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. The developer will work within established processes to deliver high-quality, scalable, and robust software solutions.

Required Skills: TP3 – 5-8 years of experience in JAVA programming

• Strong hands‑on experience in Java, J2EE, and enterprise application development.

• Solid proficiency in Core Java (Collections, Multithreading, OOP, JVM basics).

• Experience with Hibernate, JPA, JTA.

• Good knowledge of Spring Framework; exposure to Spring Boot for microservices.

• Experience building and consuming REST/SOAP Web Services.

• Strong understanding of JSON, XML, XSD.

• Proficient in SQL and relational database concepts.

• Experience with JMS and MQ messaging systems.

• Hands‑on deployment experience on JBoss EAP / WildFly, WebSphere, WebLogic

• Working knowledge of Docker; exposure to Kubernetes/OpenShift is a plus.

• Understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo).

• Basic exposure to front-end technologies (JavaScript, AJAX, JSP, Servlets); Angular is nice to have.

• Payments domain or GPP experience is highly preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices and automated testing.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Applies understanding of business processes relevant to the role, based on prior experience or domain knowledge.

• Awareness of financial or payments systems is an advantage.

• Capable of mentoring, guiding, and grooming junior team members.

• May oversee small technical teams or task groups.

• Works effectively within cross-functional teams to resolve issues and deliver solutions.

• Works independently on well-defined problems.

• Follows established methods to diagnose issues and implement fixes.

• Monitors system behavior, performs impact analysis, and ensures stability of applications.
