How you will make an impact:
Full-Stack Development
Design, build and maintain scalable frontend and backend applications powering our Real-time Content Analytics platform.
Build and maintain backend APIs and services using Python, Flask and GraphQL.
Develop modern web experiences using JavaScript, React, and D3.
Develop and optimize data access patterns and integrations with Google BigQuery and related cloud services.
Improve application performance, scalability and reliability across frontend and backend systems.
Contribute to the maintenance of authentication and authorization workflows.
Platform Modernization & Optimization
Help address technical debt and modernize platform architecture and dependencies.
Improve real-time data processing and analytical insights delivery.
Optimize frontend state management, data rendering and caching strategies for analytics-heavy workflows.
Improve backend service efficiency, API performance and data handling patterns.
Support scalability initiatives for new audience analytics and demographic insight features.
Observability, Quality & Reliability
Improve application observability using OpenTelemetry and GCP tracing tools.
Expand automated testing coverage across frontend and backend systems.
Contribute to CI/CD implementation and deployment automation practices.
Improve development workflows, deployment reliability and operational tooling.
Participate in incident investigation, debugging and production support as needed.
Technical Collaboration
Partner closely with product manager, ATL, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Help shape technical direction, engineering standards and development best practices.
Mentor developers through collaboration, code reviews, pair programming and knowledge sharing.
Contribute to Agile planning, technical discovery and iterative product delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate analytical and product requirements into scalable technical solutions.
What you bring to our team:
Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development or a related field — or an equivalent combination of practical experience, professional work and technical training.
Technical Experience:
4+ years of professional software development experience, including experience in a senior or technical leadership capacity.
Extensive backend development experience using Python and Flask (or related micro-framework such as FastAPI or Sanic).
Expertise in Python and Javascript.
Strong experience building modern frontend applications using React.
Experience with frontend tooling and frameworks such as React Router, Vite, MUI, Emotion and D3 or similar visualization libraries.
Experience building and maintaining APIs using GraphQL.
Experience working with cloud platforms and services, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience building and maintaining automated test suites using tools such as Vitest, Testing Library, Playwright and pytest.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Bitbucket pipelines, Google Cloud CLI), deployment automation, and modern development workflows.
Familiarity with YAML-based configuration and shell scripting for operational tooling and deployments.
Experience optimizing application performance, scalability and reliability in production systems.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Google App Engine and Firebase.
Experience with Firebase Authentication, and/or JWT.
Experience working on analytics, audience measurement or data visualization platforms.
Experience building products with real-time or near real-time data requirements.
Knowledge of media, streaming or digital publishing environments.
Soft Skills

Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and contribute to a healthy engineering culture.
