Description

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be part of a product engineering team maintaining and supporting our Vena Excel Desktop Addin, which is our primary product and is used by most of Vena’s 1,700+ and growing customers. The product is written in C#/.NET.

Using your software development skills, your primary role is to make key improvements and upgrades to our code base, including optimizing product performance, improving existing product features, and upgrading libraries. You will also be responsible for supporting the product by resolving bugs and enabling our support teams to resolve issues.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Improve product performance and make every action snappier to delight our users.
• Improve product by improving existing product features.
• Maintain code base by upgrading libraries and resolving tech debt.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Help build and maintain test automation.
• Assist other teams in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Document issues and contribute to our internal team documentation.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvements and help to plan and execute those improvements.
• Mentor and coach developers on coding best practices and debugging techniques.
• Other duties, as assigned.

We'd Love to See

• 5+ years of experience in software development in C#/.NET applications
• Prior experience working on Windows desktop applications
• Experience in object-oriented methodologies and design patterns
• Foundational understanding of algorithms and computational complexity
• Prior experience in a Scrum / Agile environment
• You are self motivated and self directed
• You are excited at the prospect of working on interesting technology with other friendly and enthusiastic developers
• Prior experience mentoring and coaching others

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and supporting COM addins using .NET interop
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of WPF and LINQ
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins
• Experience with ClickOnce
• Experience in software development in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript
