Role purpose Design, build, enhance and support secure, reliable software solutions and integrations for operationally important technology environments. Contribute to technical design, quality and mentorship. Key responsibilities · Design, develop, test and maintain scalable software applications and services. · Translate functional and business requirements into technical solutions. · Contribute to architecture, system design and integration decisions. · Build and maintain APIs, data integrations and database components. · Review code, improve performance and resolve complex defects. · Support CI/CD, release quality, security and technical documentation. · Collaborate with analysts, operations and infrastructure teams; mentor developers. Requirements Proposed candidate requirements · Relevant qualification in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience. · Indicatively 5–8+ years in commercial software development. · Strong hands-on expertise in the confirmed core language and framework (not yet specified). · SQL/database proficiency and experience with REST APIs and integrations. · Git, automated testing, CI/CD and Agile delivery exposure. · Strong troubleshooting, technical design and stakeholder communication skills. · Required: demonstrable software development experience in tolling, electronic toll collection (ETC), intelligent transport systems (ITS), road traffic technology or closely related transport infrastructure platforms.
